my name is Junli, a traditional and digital artist based in North Germany, Hamburg, and this is my story how I found my passion in art.

My journey started with "itsjunli" as a studyblr instagram account to motivate (or maybe procrastinate?) myself for the upcoming exams. It was a place where I shared and tried out different planning and study methods and my doodles and spreads. While diving more and more into the planner and journal community I've started drawing with watercolors again and posted some artworks on my account in between the study, planner and journal related content. Your feedback have been amazing and super sweet and the realisation how much joy sharing little artworks with you guys made me want to keep creating and sending these handmade creations packed as happymails to you. Through your encouragement I've end up opening a shop with handmade stickers and a handful of minimal illustrations, which I could share with anyone who'd like to have one.

Where my inspiration is coming from you ask?

Since childhood I had been really enjoying nature and plants and was especially fascinated by those old hand-drawn guide books which is why I've started out with the botanical theme. 
Through time, practice and challenges I've slowly and steadily developed an affection for drawing animals and perspectives beside purely flowers and plants. 
Particularly the regular visits of my family in Asia with all the traditional surroundings inspires me. All these landscapes, the music, the stories of heros, legends and mythical creatures. The feeling of home, harmony, nostalgia and inner piece. That is what I hope "itsjunli" stands for. I'd like to share pieces of culture and the feeling of calm and nostalgia.
